It's time to calm the hustle and bustle, to pay more attention to slowing down, to being in awe, to stop and smell the flowers, to take in the now and enjoy the nourishing moments of daily life.

Distracted living: In today's society with all of the technological products bombarding us and demanding our time, very few people seem to pay attention anymore; instead they respond automatically rather than thoughtfully.

So many seem to have lost the art and practice of being mindful, their mind and attention are constantly in a state of distractions and frenetic connections.

Live Intentionally: You need to intentionally move about your days more mindfully by design; mindfulness is a state of active open attention on the present and an awakening to what you're experiencing.

The key word in mindfulness is 'being' it's the quality of being perceptive and consciously responsive to the present. You're more conscious of life as it happens so you're less likely to miss out on life's meaningful moments

Mindful Behaviour: When you're attentively present with your experience you enjoy things a lot more because you do not concede to distraction by thoughts of the past or the future.

Being mindful helps you to more closely observe your thoughts and feelings; it's a transformative practice for your psychological wellbeing.

Mindfulness reboots your mind, it increases your awareness, how you interpret and react to what's happening. Being mindful helps regulate your behaviour and boost self-control.

Mindfulness Works: Mindfulness is also a useful intervention for anxiety, depression and stress reduction. Mindfulness creates space for much more insight and opens you up to greater discernment.

Furthermore, mindfulness is a boon to your physical wellbeing as it helps to lower blood pressure and gives a lift to immune system functioning. It helps you lessen stress in life this potentially reduces your risk for heart disease.

Savour Present Moments: Whatever you're doing at this juncture of your life, even if you think or feel that your life calls for a maddening pace of productivity, simply stop for a moment and quiet yourself.

Now focus your thinking, commit to slowing down and resolutely choose to fully experience your present.

Take the time to savour what you're experiencing as it happens, simply take delight in mindfully living your moments by being intentionally present.
